So last weekend, I wanted to go to the zoo for my birthday.  Unfortunately, the weather gods chose to shit all over everyone’s outdoor plans by dropping severe weather throughout the midwest, thus spoiling our plans.  (SADS).  Although if I had to die unexpectedly, being cuddled to death by scared zoo animals while flying through the air isn’t the worst way to go.  (That’s what I’m solving the tornados+zoo equation for, anyway.)

Well, the mister felt real bad about the lack of monkeys in my life, and on Saturday morning I woke up to a shiny new iPad to help ease the pain.  If I couldn’t see the tamarins in person, he thought googling them on a tablet would be the next best thing.  After I recovered from the  overly-generous-gift generated guilt, I became pretty fond of the thing.  I’m particularly taken with the fabulous Paper app, which despite my total lack of artistic skill or training, I can’t seem to leave alone.  So be prepared for lots of uploads involving sad sketches of our cats.  And maybe some photos of said cats.  Or whatever else I feel like.  Or maybe I’ll abandon this after a week.
